How to choose the right size

  1. Read the model name on the rating plate, not on the box or the battery.
  2. Identify the head fitted: factory spool, bump head or a replacement.
  3. Find the diameter the manual gives for that head, and its shape.
  4. Buy that size, or the replacement spool the manual names.
Thicker is not better. Line heavier than the head allows can jam the spool, overload the motor and wear the eyelet.

The diameter chart converts millimetres and inches, and the model lookup finds the record for your model.

Trimming season in Australia runs roughly from September to March; check your spare spool before it starts. Same model name, different product: regional versions can differ. Match the rating plate.
